AVO “Universal Avominor” multimeter, manufactured by AVO Ltd., England. A compact portable analogue electrical test instrument designed for measuring A.C. and D.C. voltage, current, and resistance. The Avominor was widely used by electricians, radio engineers, and service technicians for testing electrical circuits, wireless sets, and general electrical equipment. Its robust bakelite case and multiple range terminals made it suitable for workshop and field use. Mid-20th century, c.1940s–1950s.
