This is a traditional copper outdoor lantern, designed for exterior lighting on gateposts, walls, or entrance pillars. Featuring a hexagonal body with frosted glass panels, it provided diffused illumination while withstanding weather exposure. Electrified examples like this were commonly used in residential and commercial settings 1920s-1960s.
