Airmec Sweep Signal Generator Type 352, a laboratory electronic test instrument designed to generate swept frequency signals for alignment, calibration and testing of radio frequency and audio equipment. Manufactured by Airmec, a British producer of professional electronic test equipment, it was used in telecommunications workshops, research laboratories and service departments to analyse frequency response and circuit performance. Sweep generators of this type formed standard diagnostic equipment before modern digital signal analysers and synthesised generators became common; 1950s–1960s.
