Sangamo Weston Temperature Indicator / Controller, England. An industrial temperature monitoring instrument designed for the measurement and indication of temperature in laboratory or process environments. The circular dial is calibrated in degrees Celsius (0–50 °C) and incorporates coloured indicator markers together with warning lamps to signal operating limits or alarm conditions. Used with thermocouple or resistance temperature sensors to monitor and regulate temperature in incubators, environmental chambers, laboratory apparatus, and industrial process equipment. c.1940s–1960s.
