A heavy Watts (for industrial purposes) circular division tester by Hilger & Watts in its original wooden box. Precisely measures small angular variations in a circular object, such as a graduated plate or indexing table. It provides highly accurate measurements of angles and is an instrument used for metrology (the science of measurement). Its quite an interesting bit of kit when you read how it works. Manufactured between 1948 and 1969.
